ABOUT US

On Your Mark's Incluse Community Center Program entails the use of a recreational facility on the North Shore of Staten Island, NY. It's purpose is to provided an enhanced and expanded facility for our recreational and respite programs. It hopes to help other service agencies by providing them with space to operate their expanded programs. OYM Community Center is on two acres of property and includes a 25,000 square foot building which encompasses an indoor pool, gymnasium, classrooms, meeting rooms, lounges, a pre-school center and an outdoor playground and library, as well as office space. Adjoining the facility are two parking lots. We began renovation on January 1, 2008, with a targeted completion date of December 31, 2010.

The OYM Community Center will provide the following services: Therapeutic Recreation Family Support Programming Social Integration Exercise and Recreational Programming Respite Programs Music Institute Cultural Art Activities Swim Programs After School Child Care After school sports and computer instructional programs as part of the Reverse Mainstream Model

The people who will benefit from the OYM Community Center:

• 400 youth with disabilities and their families who currently participate in On Your Mark programming
• Approximately 430 unserved youth and their families who are on our waiting list
• 2000 children and families with and without disabilities who will be able to participate in the above named programs
• Members of the community who will be employed as staff
• Students and others who will provide community service through our volunteer program
